Anti-Dumping Investigation – Imports of Polyethylene Terephthalate

The Government of Malaysia has recently initiated anti-dumping investigation after receiving a petition from Recron Malaysia alleging that the imports of polyethylene terephthalate with intrinsic viscosity of 0.70 decilitres/gram or more are being dumped in Malaysia and are causing material injury to the domestic industry in Malaysia.

The countries whose exports are being affected by the investigation include the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United States of America and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

If your company has received any Questionnaire from the Ministry of International Trade & Industry (Trade Practices Section), or wishes to oppose and/or challenge the investigation, please do not hesitate to CONTACT ETCoLaw.
